We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing sustainable community support throughout the Fresno area. We are currently seeking a highly articulate, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our team as a Community Support Specialist. In this entry-level role, you will receive hands-on training alongside our experienced leadership team, learning the core duties and responsibilities necessary for success.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our charity partners by promoting our mission and fostering positive community engagement. You will assist customers by explaining available programs, guiding them through the enrollment process, and providing information about the benefits and services offered by our clients.

Community Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Reach out directly to potential customers, explaining available programs and qualifying them for enrollment.
  • Prepare applications and necessary documentation to track customer information for our clients.
  • Support the team by compiling and delivering comprehensive reports that are thorough and accurate.
  • Proactively address any concerns or questions from customers, ensuring they fully understand the program and its benefits.
  • Represent the organization professionally at community events and networking functions.
  • Ensure courteous, efficient, and effective service during customer interactions, contributing to a positive experience for all involved.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and training sessions, offering support to colleagues and cross-functional teams.

Community Support Specialist Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Management, or Administration is preferred.
  • Comfortable taking the initiative and collaborating across departments to enhance skills and achieve goals.
  • Previous experience in customer service or similar roles is a plus.
  • Experience in events, community outreach, or volunteering is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
